It’s time for another installment of MIL SPOUSE EDITION and we thought before we get too deep into content perhaps you should meet the hosts of the series. Faith Bomar and Lynda Lind join podcast editor Ron Granieri in the virtual studio to lay out the roadmap for the series and explain how they ended up as the hosts of the program. With the goal of sharing information and expertise to the broadest possible audience, the two hosts will be talking to experts about topics that are important to military spouses and families. Future episodes will cover education (your children and your own), PCS-ing, volunteering, employment, military culture, customs and courtesies, and maybe most important – self-care. So come meet your guides through this endeavor as Faith and Lynda share conversations and experiences, and promise a few laughs along the way talking about “Their Mission, Our Story.”
The topics that we want to focus on are questions that are asked at multiple levels and by spouses no matter how long they have been with the military. These are topics that are relevant to new spouses and also those of us that are seasoned or have been and have been doing this for quite a long time.

Faith Bomar is not as funny as she thinks she is, according to her loving Army officer husband of nineteen years. She is the mother of four children only because it seemed like a good idea at the time and as a result of this, she has changed dirty diapers from CA to PA and on three different continents. When avoiding cooking dinner she spends her time working outside of the home as a Doula and giving her time away to the community as a perpetually unprofessional volunteer.
Lynda Lind has spent the last fifteen years as a Navy wife and devoted volunteer. She is a stay-at-home mother of 2 with the survival skills needed for 7 moves and multiple deployments. She likes to spend her free time cooking and sewing, and has loved this year learning more about how the Army does things.
Ron Granieri is an Associate Professor of History at the U.S. Army War College and the Editor of A BETTER PEACE.
