General Charles Flynn, Commanding General of U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC), was in Carlisle to address the AY23 resident class of the U.S. Army War College. He took the time to sit down with our Editor-in-Chief J.P. Clark to discuss what the Army is doing in the Pacific. Their conversation includes the 4Cs framework, allies and partners, wargaming and campaigning in the region and the responsibilities of the theater Army to set the theater for the joint force. General Flynn shares his extensive experience in the Pacific and at the senior level of Army leadership to provide a clear picture of the Army’s activities and contributions to joint operations in the INDOPACOM theater.
Everyone’s goal in the region…is to have no war. But in order to have no war you have to be prepared to fight. So we are preparing ourselves to fight and get into a position of advantage so that that fight never comes.
